Proverbs 16:9
“A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
The proverb doesn't discourage planning โ it recognizes something deeper: even the best human plans remain subject to God's final direction over the path.
Let's not overcomplicate this: a plan not turning out as expected isn't always a failure. Sometimes it's God directing the step toward something you can't see yet.
How much room do I leave for God to redirect my plans when they don't turn out as I thought?
Look back at a plan that didn't go as expected and consider where God might have been directing your path another way.
Lord, I make my plans, but I hand over the outcome to You. Direct my steps according to what You see and I don't.
