Psalm 37:4
“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
The promise isn't a magic formula for granted wishes. When the heart delights in God, its desires begin to align with what He already wants for that person.
Let's not overcomplicate this: it isn't about manipulating God with fake delight to get something. It's about genuinely knowing Him and letting your own desires start to change.
Do I seek first to delight in God, or do I just ask Him for things without cultivating that relationship first?
Set aside a moment today just to enjoy God's presence, without asking Him for anything specific yet.
Lord, I want to delight in You before I ask You for anything. Let my heart align with Yours as I spend time with You.
