1 Peter 1:3-4
“Hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.”
Peter describes an inheritance that no earthly circumstance can corrupt, defile, or cause to fade — something entirely different from any security this world can offer or take away.
Let's not overcomplicate this: what this world can take from you was never your true security. What God reserved for you, no one can snatch away.
Am I living today aware that I have an eternal inheritance reserved, beyond what I see right now?
Remind yourself today, at some hard moment in the day, that what you're living isn't all there is — there's an eternal inheritance reserved that no one can take from you.
Lord, thank You for the incorruptible inheritance waiting for me. Let me live today with that living hope, even when circumstances are hard.
