2 Corinthians 5:18-19
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation... and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
Paul links two things: the reconciliation we've received from God, and the ministry of carrying that same reconciliation to others. It isn't only a gift we receive โ it's a task entrusted to us.
Let's not overcomplicate this: having been reconciled to God carries with it a call to also seek reconciliation with the people around you.
Is there a broken relationship in my life where God is calling me to be a bridge, not another wall?
Take a concrete step toward reconciliation with someone today, even a small one: a message, a call, a prayer for that person.
Lord, thank You for reconciling me to Yourself first. Use me today as an instrument of reconciliation in the broken relationships around me.
