John 14:26
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Jesus doesn't leave His disciples alone with the task of remembering and understanding everything He taught. He promises an active helper who teaches and reminds, not a manual to be memorized alone.
Let's not overcomplicate this: you don't have to understand faith only through your own mental effort. You have a Teacher who lives in you for that.
Am I trying to understand and remember my faith only through my own effort, or do I depend on the Holy Spirit for that?
Before reading the Bible today, specifically ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and remind you what you need.
Holy Spirit, thank You for being my Comforter and Teacher. Teach me today and remind me of what I need to know right now.
