1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

John doesn't describe a complicated process or a list of prior merits. The condition is simple: confess. God's response is just as direct: forgiveness and full cleansing.

Let's not overcomplicate this: you don't need to arrive spotless to confess. You need to arrive honest, and God handles the rest.

Reflection Question

What am I hiding from God instead of bringing it honestly before Him?

Today's Action

Take a few minutes today to confess something specific in prayer, without dressing it up or minimizing it.

Prayer

Lord, I don't want to keep hiding what You already know. I confess what I'm carrying today and receive Your forgiveness and cleansing.
