“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”
James connects envy directly to disorder — it isn't a harmless sin, it's a root that produces confusion and conflict in everything it touches.
Let's not overcomplicate this: envy rarely stays still. Left unattended, it ends up disordering far more than it seemed to at first.

What disorder in my life or relationships is rooted in envy I don't want to name?

Identify who you envy today and pray specifically for their blessing, instead of comparing yourself to them.
Prayer
Lord, remove from me the envy that's creating disorder in my heart. Help me rejoice in others' good instead of competing with them.
