Matthew 5:14-16
“Ye are the light of the world... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Jesus doesn't say 'try to be light' โ He says 'ye are light,' as an identity already given, not a goal to reach. The question isn't whether you have light, but whether you're letting it show.
Let's not overcomplicate this: you don't need to manufacture a light you don't have. You need to stop hiding the one you were already given.
Does my daily life reflect something of God, or do I hide it out of fear or comfort?
Do a visible good deed today, not so people notice you, but so something of God shows through it.
Lord, I don't want to hide what You placed in me. Let my life today shine in a way that points to You, not to myself.
