Matthew 6:34
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Jesus isn't saying planning is wrong โ He's saying that carrying today the anxiety of a tomorrow that doesn't exist yet is an extra weight you don't have to bear.
Let's not overcomplicate this: each day already brings enough of its own. There's no need to add tomorrow's burdens to it as well.
Am I carrying today the worries of a tomorrow that hasn't arrived yet?
Write down a worry about the future and consciously leave it for when that day actually comes.
Lord, help me live today without carrying tomorrow's weight. I trust Your grace will be enough for that day too.
