James 1:5

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

The promise carries no complicated conditions: ask, and it's given. God doesn't reserve wisdom for a spiritually advanced few; He offers it to anyone who asks sincerely.

Let's not overcomplicate this: you don't need the answer before you pray. Prayer is precisely the place where you ask for the clarity you don't have yet.

Reflection Question

Do I ask God for wisdom before deciding, or act first and pray afterward only if things go wrong?

Today's Action

Before making a pending decision today, stop and specifically ask God for wisdom about it.

Prayer

Lord, I don't have all the clarity I need. I ask You for wisdom, trusting You give it without finding fault.
