Nehemiah 8:10

“Neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

This verse is spoken to a people weeping as they hear the Law read aloud โ€” and the response isn't to suppress the emotion, but to redirect it toward the joy of the Lord as a source of strength.

Let's not overcomplicate this: biblical joy doesn't depend on everything being fine. It depends on who you're looking at while things are the way they are.

Reflection Question

Am I looking for strength in my own mood, or in the joy that comes from the Lord?

Today's Action

Before starting your day, thank God for something specific and notice if it shifts your energy.

Prayer

Lord, let Your joy be my strength today, not my circumstances or how I feel.
