2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
The verse doesn't say fear doesn't exist. It says where it doesn't come from: it's not a gift from God. What God does give — power, love, a sound mind — is exactly what's needed to face it.
Let's not overcomplicate this: feeling afraid doesn't mean you lack faith. It means it's time to remember which spirit you were actually given to face it.
What decision am I avoiding today out of fear, that I know I should face?
Take one concrete step today toward the thing fear has been holding you back from, however small.
Lord, You didn't give me a spirit of fear. Help me act today with the power, love, and sound mind You already gave me.
