Psalms 119:105
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
An ancient lamp didn't light up miles of road, just enough for the next step. The promise isn't seeing the whole future, it's having enough light for today.
Let's not overcomplicate this: you don't need to understand your whole life at once. You need enough light from the Word to take today's step.
Am I using the Word to see today's step, or only reaching for it when I want to see the whole road at once?
Read a chapter of the Bible today thinking specifically about the concrete decision you need to make this week.
Lord, Your Word is light for my feet, not always for the whole road. Help me trust the next step, even when I can't see the rest.
