Matthew 6:6
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Jesus isn't against public prayer; He's pointing out where the real relationship is born: in secret, with no audience, with no need for anyone else to notice.
Let's not overcomplicate this: the prayer that changes you most is almost never the one others see. It's the one you pray when no one else is watching.
Does my prayer life depend on being seen by others, or do I also have a secret place just between God and me?
Find a moment and a place free of distractions to pray today, even just five minutes, without anyone knowing.
Father, teach me to seek You in secret, not only when others are watching. Let my relationship with You grow there, in the hidden place.
