2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
The text doesn't say old things gradually get better. It says they have passed away โ a change of state, not an endless process of repairing what came before.
Let's not overcomplicate this: you don't have to keep dragging around the label of who you used to be. In Christ, that story already closed a chapter, and today is part of a new one.
What old version of myself do I keep carrying, even though God has already made me new in that area?
Write down something from the past that keeps defining how you see yourself today, and hand it over in prayer as something already gone.
Lord, thank You that I don't have to stay stuck being who I used to be. Help me walk as the new person I already am in You.
