Micah 6:8

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

God doesn't ask His people for complicated rituals or extraordinary sacrifices. He asks for something much simpler to name and much harder to live out: justice, mercy, and humility, in that everyday order.

Let's not overcomplicate this: faith isn't measured first by how spectacular your deeds for God are, but by how you treat people and how you see yourself before Him.

Reflection Question

In what area of my life am I trying to always be right, instead of walking humbly?

Today's Action

In the next hard conversation you have today, choose to listen before defending yourself, even if you're right.

Prayer

Lord, take from me the need to always have the last word. Teach me to walk humbly with You.
