Psalms 127:1
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
The verse doesn't say building a house takes no effort. It says effort alone, without God at the center, ends up being labor in vain โ a lot of motion without a real foundation.
Let's not overcomplicate this: a strong home isn't measured by how much you control every detail, but by who you're making room for to hold it up with you.
Am I trying to hold up my home by my own effort alone, or am I making room for God in my family's decisions?
Pick one pending family decision and bring it to God in prayer before settling it just out of exhaustion or urgency.
Lord, be the architect of my home. Let my effort join what You are already building, not replace it.
