Colossians 3:13

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

The forgiveness Paul asks for isn't tied to whether the other person deserves it or asks for it. It's tied to how Christ already forgave โ€” without waiting for us to earn it first.

Let's not overcomplicate this: forgiving doesn't mean saying it didn't hurt. It means you stop using that debt to keep measuring the other person, and you set down the weight you were actually the one carrying.

Reflection Question

Who am I still keeping on a mental list of debts owed, and what is that weight costing me?

Today's Action

Write that person's name and one honest sentence about how you feel. You don't have to send it or resolve it today, just name it.

Prayer

Lord, forgiving doesn't come easily to me. Help me let go of what I'm carrying, the same way You didn't hold it against me.
