Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Moses is speaking to a people about to enter unknown territory, without him, with no certainty of how things will turn out. The promise isn't that the road will be easy. It's that they won't walk it alone.
Let's not overcomplicate this: feeling alone doesn't mean you are. God promises presence, not the absence of difficulty โ and that presence often arrives through another person God places in your path.
In what area of my life do I feel like I'm facing something completely alone?
Send a message to someone you trust, even a short one, telling them what you're going through. You don't have to carry it in silence.
Lord, when the room feels empty, remind me that You haven't left. Help me also seek out a flesh-and-blood person today.
